EU Remains China’s Largest Trading Partner

Beijing, 11 August: In the first seven months this year, the European Union continues to be China’s largest trade partner, with trade volume standing at 118.6bn US dollars, up 23.3 per cent year on year.

Figures released by the General Administration of Chinese Customs on Thursday [11 August] show that the European Union, the United States and Japan are the first three trade partners of China.

During the January-July period, the trade volume between China and the United States reached 114.5bn US dollars, up 24.5 per cent year on year, while that between China and Japan totalled 101.8bn US dollars, up 9.2 per cent.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has become China’s fourth largest trade partner, with trade volume between them reaching 70.7bn US dollars in January-July period, up 24.8 per cent.
