Vescio’s SportsFields has been awarded a contract for athletic facility improvements at Bourbon County High School in central Kentucky. Vescio’s SportsFields, with its headquarters in the Lexington, KY, is a designer and builder of both synthetic and natural surface athletic fields.

SportsFields scope of work will consist of replacing the current natural turf game field with a synthetic turf system.

Bourbon County joins an increasing number of Vescio’s SportsFields’ clients who are renovating playing surfaces from natural to synthetic turf.

The school board and administration considered multiple variations and vendors for their synthetic turf. It was decided to use a monofilament type turf from the Vescio’s SportsFields Home Field Advantage TM series product line.

“We at Vescio’s SportsFields are very pleased that the Bourbon County Board of Education approved our selection to provide and install our ‘Home Field Advantage’ synthetic turf system for their new field at Bourbon County High School,” said Tom Breeden, Vice President of SportsFields. “Having been in business in central Kentucky for over 30 years the folks of Bourbon County are our neighbors and we are excited to be working with them on what will be not only a great addition to the school’s athletic facilities but to the entire community. We take great pride in our quality craftsmanship and in the quality of our turf products. We stand committed to providing Bourbon County High School, the board of education, and the student athletes with a field that they will be proud of and that will serve them well for many years to come,” added Breeden.

Vescio’s SportsFields has constructed and renovated many high profile athletic field systems throughout the state of Kentucky, including the University of Kentucky Nutter Practice Facility, Eastern Kentucky University Hanger Field, Burch-Nau Stadium at Union College, Cheek Field at Centre College, and the game field at Boyle County High School. In addition, SportsFields is currently constructing a high tech, 6-inch sand cap soccer game field at the University of Kentucky’s Soccer complex and was recently selected to construct and install their Home Field AdvantageTM synthetic turf system at Harlan County High School.

Field renovation is expected to be complete for the 2011 football season.
