Fireball Run Adventurally Annual Event Shot in 8 Days, 15 Cities, Over 2500 Miles, Searches for Missing Kids

Universal Studios, Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 22, 2011

Fireball Run Adventurally is not a motor sports event- it is actually an exponentially growing entertainment property (with a cause.) It is an annually-filmed production that travels over 2500 miles to 15 cities in an 8 Day Race to Recover Missing Children.

Daytona 500 Winner and NASCAR legend Geoff Bodine, Space Shuttle Astronaut Winston Scott, and nearly 50 teams will compete driving everything from Lamborghini’s and Camaro’s to the DeLorean “Time Car” from Back to the Future and the “General Lee” from Dukes of Hazzard. Along the way they must solve clues and various motor sport challenges. Fans can follow their favorite teams via GPS and chat with participants on FireballRun.com

The 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally will be aired “Live” online to 7 Million viewers; roughly the same number who watch Oprah Winfrey in Syndication or caught the NBA playoffs on TV, as well as being filmed for later theatrical release. This production culminates in a red-carpet movie premiere and later distribution as an award-winning DVD movie. Dan Springen, Executive Director of Orlando Film Festival, competing this year, will also be accepting entries from independent film producers in each destination along the rally route. One lucky film maker will be chosen for a red carpet world premier at the 2012 Orlando Film Festival.

Missing Children

Each team in the Fireball Run Adventurally is assigned a missing child from their home region along with thousands of posters to distribute along the route- the poster’s QR code connects directly to law enforcement handling the case. A decal featuring the child is also place on the vehicle, creating a rolling milk carton. The Race to Recover America’s Missing Children is the largest active recovery effort for missing and exploited children in the country. To date, the effort has assisted in the recovery of 36 missing children.

QR Codes

The Fireball Run Adventurally continues to innovate, using new media technologies like live streaming video broadcasts, online GPS tracking, and QR codes on team vehicles to launch rich media in a first-of-its-kind program to increase awareness, fan participation & consumer engagement. QR, short for Quick Response, are square matrix codes that can be scanned by smart phones to launch digital content; from photos to websites and videos.

This year the Adventurally has title sponsor Chevrolet, which has not only lent its name and support to the production but also several participating Chevrolet team vehicles. The 2011 Chevrolet Fireball Run Adventurally starts September 23rd on Florida’s Space Coast and concludes October 1st in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Other 2011 destinations are Peachtree City GA, Knoxville TN, Clarksville TN, Anniston AL, and Gulfport MS. The event encourages the public to come out, get autographs, and show their support.

Other sponsors of the entertainment production include; Barrett-Jackson Auctions, LiveStream.com, RealTrack GPS, LuxuryLifestyle.com, O’Donnell Corp, RedBird Printing, and Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka.
