Nashville, TN (PRWEB) June 27, 2011

Coutts Information Services Limited, an Ingram Content Group company, today announced that it has been selected by Case Western Reserve University to develop and manage the print approval plan for the Kelvin Smith Library, its main library supporting the teaching and research of the University.

“We’ve worked closely with Ingram’s Coutts for our firm orders, and the care, thoroughness and level of support we receive made it an easy choice to expand our work with them for our print approval plan,” said Arlene Sievers-Hill, Head of Acquisitions, Kelvin Smith Library, Case Western University. “The library and profiling expertise that Coutts brings to the table, as well as its breadth and availability of physical books, allow us to fulfill our mission of supporting the teaching and learning activities of Case faculty, students and staff, and to do it even better than we have been.”

Under the agreement, Coutts will develop and manage the print approval plan for books published in North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom for the library. The approval plan, developed collaboratively with Case Western, provides the library with the tools it needs to efficiently and cost effectively identify and acquire materials that are in demand by students. Coutts also provides e-book content to the university through Ingram’s industry-leading MyiLibrary® platform.

“More institutions are turning to Coutts for our comprehensive print, digital and patron-driven approval plan solutions, as libraries continue to transform to meet the needs of an evolving academic community,” said Rich Rosy, Vice President and General Manager, Ingram Library Services. “We are pleased that Case Western, a leader among independent research universities, has selected Coutts for its print and e-book content. We look forward to helping the university meet the diverse needs of its students.”
