New iPad App by KJ Dots Enhances Multiplication Skills

(PRWEB) June 28, 2011

Math, ugh. For many young students it’s a subject of dread, or let’s face it ““ boredom. Or is it? Creator KJ Dots, LLC, has designed Multiply Dots, an engaging iPad app for children to aid in the memorization of multiplication facts from numbers 2-12. Now kids can study basic arithmetic and build confidence by skip counting and drawing pictures. Who knew math could be so captivating?

Similar to the app’s creative concept, the design layout is colorful, imaginative and highly navigable. With a tap on a selected number, users can create a picture from a number of selections ““ an airplane, a Christmas tree and more ““ by connecting dots in ascending order, or skip counting. The app also offers a “Math Facts” section, following each picture completion, for additional challenges and fun.

“I designed these drawings when my sons were in elementary school,” stated Kathy Johnson of KJ Dots, LLC. “Not only did I use these to teach multiplication facts, but also as a summer skills refresher. It was impressive how quickly they improved ““ all while having fun.”

In the car, on the go, at Grandma’s house, even nestled away in the confines of a child’s tree house, this app can be utilized anywhere ““ not just in the classroom, although iPads are quickly emerging in the educational sector as well. Multiply Dots is now available for $1.99 on iTunes. Now that’s the magic number!
