Sponsored by General Dynamics C4 Systems, the EDGE is a collaborative, open-environment initiative enabling industry and academia, with government input, to work together to enhance the delivery cycle of new technologies and innovative capabilities to warfighters and first responders.

An EDGE Technology Member since 2007, nFocus will provide input to the network’s advisory board, which consists of executives from companies such as Microsoft, IBM and Cisco, and former military experts who make recommendations twice a year to the EDGE Enterprise.

nFocus will serve as technology chair, a rotating position, until October of 2011 and represent the network’s technology members.

Pete Palmer, EDGE Innovation Network director, said, “The Advisory Board chose nFocus Software because of its broad-based expertise and successful deployments of its technology within the U.S. Army as well as the firm’s proven ability to leverage the EDGE in support of its customers.”

As part of its expanded role, nFocus Software, a woman-owned business, will work to communicate the needs of EDGE Innovation Network technology members to the EDGE advisory board, according to Don Pruitt, executive vice president of nFocus Software. “This is an honor for our company and we are very excited about this opportunity to further engage the EDGE and its member organizations,” he said.

Pruitt added, “The EDGE has enabled nFocus Software to better serve our customers by providing them with access to hundreds of high-quality corporate and education partners. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the EDGE and assisting the advisory board over the coming year.”
