Alleged Security Breach On Apple Technical Support Server

The AntiSec hacking campaign claims it has broken into Apple's systems and posted alleged user names and passwords from one of the company's servers.

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, AntiSec includes hackers from Anonymous and the decommissioned group LulzSec.

ZDNet's Jason O'Grady said that 9to5 Mac considers the document posted by AntiSec to be relatively benign.

Apple has not confirmed the security breach, but AntiSec claims its victim was a technical support server.

The hackers said in a statement on Twitter that they had access to Apple's systems due to a security flaw used in software by the company.

The latest alleged security breach comes as part of a two-month campaign of digital heists involving corporations like Sony Corp. and AT&T Inc. and the government agency group Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
