RUMOR: Apple Reportedly Working On Thin MacBook Pro

According to recent reports, Apple may be working on a 15-inch "ultra-thin" MacBook Pro.

Both MacRumors and TUAW blog sites have claimed the company plans to release these thin notebooks in time for Christmas 2011.

Apple already has its thin MacBook Air line, which uses solid-state memory and lacks an optical drive.

TUAW reported that the 15-inch notebook would also not include an optical drive in favor of slimmer lines and longer battery life.

The same blog also says there is a 17-inch model Apple is working on as well.

Apple has recently updated its MacBook Air line and also refreshed its MacBook Pro line back in February.

MacBook Airs start at $999, while consumers can grab a MacBook Pro, which features more computer power, for $1199.
