Accipiter Demonstrates Industry Leadership Initiative By Forming European Advisory Council; Council Establishes Pattern of Customer-Centric Product Development Within Accipiter

Posted on: Tuesday, 16 August 2005, 09:00 CDT

Accipiter Solutions, Inc., an online advertising technology leader since 1996, today announced the company formed a European Advisory Council designed to gain a better understanding of customer needs and changing demands in the European market. Members from a cross-section of Accipiter's European customer base gathered at the first inaugural session held at Accipiter's European headquarters in London. Participants included:

-- Tiscali - Europe's second largest Internet service provider

-- ITV - the U.K.'s largest commercial television network

-- webAds - specializes in the management, implementation, and exportation of online advertising campaigns

-- Associated New Media (ANM) - the digital publishing division of Associated Newspapers, Ltd., one of the U.K.'s premier national newspaper groups

-- eType - one of the UK's largest online ad sales managers for publishers

Accipiter felt it was the right time to form an advisory council in Europe as that niche is gaining significant speed in the worldwide online ad management market. The company has consistently made the effort to involve customers in its product development cycle. The newly-formed council allows Accipiter to better understand the European market demands moving forward.

The main objectives of the council meeting were to establish a pattern of customer-centric product development within Accipiter and to obtain valuable feedback from customers. Many potential enhancements were discussed as well as new technologies on the horizon. In order to continue gathering valuable input from its customers, Accipiter has prepared an online Product Enhancement Request form as well as a Technology Review Request form. Customers can now inform the company of new or developing online ad management technologies that should be evaluated for their impact on Accipiter's products and services.

"We gained invaluable insight into the additional functionality and services our customers need from us," said Mike Keaton, Accipiter's director of European operations. "We will analyze these in-depth results and use them to help determine future strategic initiatives in this region."

Based on the success of the European Advisory Council, Accipiter plans to roll out a North American-based Advisory Council this fall. Further announcements regarding its formation will soon be released.

"This meeting was a huge success and, again, demonstrates why Accipiter is a forward-thinking technology innovator in this industry," said Colin Elms, Head of Online Publishing at ITV.com. "I know of no other vendor who provides their customers with such a unique opportunity to provide feedback directly to the product management team."
