Cave-in blocks railway in NE China
CHANGCHUN, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) — A road cave-in in northeast China’s Jilin Province paralyzed railway transportation between the provincial capital Changchun and the city of Jilin on Monday morning.
A railway official surnamed Lu said, the cave-in locale was 10 meters away from the Yingcheng section of the provincial railway, leaving a 20-sq-m large and 3-m deep pit near the line.
For safety concerns, the railway has ceased operation and it is unknown when the traffic could be restored.
