PLANO, TX — (MARKET WIRE) — 11/20/2003 — Eicon Networks Corporation, a global provider of communication products for networked business applications, today announced Copia International’s selection of the Diva Server family as the next generation platform for CopiaFacts. Copia’s Enterprise Messaging Solutions, consisting of FaxFacts, VoiceFacts and E-MailFacts, now supports Eicon’s Diva Server media gateway family.
Diva Server products provide a powerful platform solution set, ranging from single basic rate (BRI) adapters for small- to medium-sized enterprises, to T1/E1 and primary rate (PRI) models for the communication needs of large enterprises. Diva Server fully supports Fax Group 3 based on the T.30 fax standard including error correction (ECM) and compression standards (MH; MR; MMR) ensuring fast and reliable fax transmission with a transmission speed of up to 33.6 kbps (V.34). The Copia application sitting on the Eicon Diva Server hardware platform will allow users to incorporate fax, voice messaging with integrated voice/data applications and PBX integration, and custom e-mail integration to get messaging in real time.
According to Steve Hersee, President of Copia International, “The addition of the Eicon Diva Server platform gives our customers even more hardware options when configuring a CopiaFacts system. Our customers are eager to move to higher fax speeds offered by the V.34 fax standard. Eicon’s support of 33.6 faxing speeds, high board density, and outstanding price point gives our customers incredible value. Even the smallest company can benefit from using CopiaFacts and the Eicon adapters. The Diva Server boards are completely scalable, just like the CopiaFacts suite, enabling us to match our customers’ requirements.”
