Vivace Networks, Inc., a leading provider of flexible, high-performance multi-service WAN switches to carriers worldwide, today announced it has signed a Services Agreement with the Customer Services arm of Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. Fujitsu will provide comprehensive engineering, furnishing and installation (EF&I) services for carriers deploying Vivace Networks' award winning Viva product family, which includes the Viva5100 and the Viva1050 Multi-Service IP(TM) switches.
Fujitsu Customer Services meets the strict EF&I requirements for top-tier carriers nationwide. Mike Kazban, vice president of marketing at Vivace Networks, commented, "Fujitsu holds an excellent track record in offering a broad range of services and support for carriers. This relationship strategically positions Vivace to support the demands of its growing customer base as well as to speed the time to revenue for carriers deploying our Viva product at the multiservice edge."
The Viva Multi-Service IP Switch product family is purpose-built to provide global carriers with everything they need to offer profitable and reliable business-class IP, Frame Relay, ATM and Ethernet services. These are the first commercially available products capable of delivering circuit-switched reliability and predictability on packet-based networks by combining deterministic Layer 2 switching and Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities with the flexibility and intelligence of Layer 3 routing.
"Fujitsu provides carriers with a one-stop shop for all their network service requirements, including deployment, operations, advanced and technical education services," added Ken Madsen, senior vice president, Fujitsu Customer Services.
