Fujitsu, Nokia Link Up Mobile Solutions Biz

June 30, 2003

Tokyo, June 30 (Jiji Press)–Japan’s Fujitsu Ltd. and Nokia Oy of Finland said Monday they have agreed to join hands in the field of mobile solutions services for corporate customers.

The alliance will combine Nokia’s mobile terminals and platforms with Fujitsu’s system integration and other computer software services, the companies said.

The joint services will start in Britain and northern Europe shortly, and in other European countries and the Asia-Pacific region in 2004, they said.

In the first stage of the alliance, Fujitsu and Nokia will offer a new service that will allow users of Nokia’s business mobile terminals to access data in their corporate computer systems.
