Dataram First to Expand Sun Blade 1500 Workstation Memory to 8 Gigabytes

PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 16, 2003--Dataram Corporation (NASDAQ:DRAM), today announced the industry's first 4GB memory upgrade for Sun Microsystems' new Sun Blade 1500 workstation, as well as cost effective 1GB & 2GB upgrades. Customers can save up to 50% when compared to the cost of buying directly from the manufacturer.
Dataram's memory offering for these systems, the DRS240 series, is available in 4, 2 and 1GB capacities. The upgrades consist of a two dual in-line memory modules of half the total capacity. The DRS240 memory series was designed specifically for the high performance double data rate (DDR) memory interface of the UltraSPARC IIIi processor used in the new Sun workstations and servers.
The new Sun Blade 1500 workstation is the most scalable, affordable and reliable workstation in the 64-bit space and is a major price performance breakthrough for Sun in the technical workstation space. Technical users running MCAD, MCAE, EDA, PLM, 2-D and 3-D content creation will benefit from the power of this system, especially with the added 8GB memory capacity made possible by Dataram.
