Ascolta Training Offers Two-Day Course: Cisco's Security Monitoring, Analysis and Response System

Ascolta, one of the leading providers of technical security training, is proud to announce that it is now offering a two-day course called "Cisco MARS-Protego" designed to train IT professionals about the inter-workings of the Cisco Security Monitoring, Analysis, and Response System (CS-MARS) at various locations around the country. A result of the Protego acquisition by Cisco Systems, CS-MARS offers a family of high-performance, scalable appliances used for threat management, monitoring, and mitigation; which enables customers to make more effective use of network and security devices.
The Cisco MARS-Protego course is a two-day instructor-led course covering five chapters and six labs designed to provide a solid foundation for the students. The course addresses how to install the appliance, add network devices to manage, and create reports to better secure and manage the network. It also covers incident investigations, event management, and system maintenance.
CS-MARS complements the self-defending network architecture by empowering the security and network organization to monitor, analyze, and mitigate security threats. The CS-MARS appliance extends the portfolio of security management products for the Cisco Self-Defending Network initiative. The result is a system that helps customers to readily and accurately identify, manage, and eliminate network attacks and maintain network security compliance.
