Public Sector: VisitLondon Bids to Lure US Visitors

VisitLondon is embarking on a two-month drive to encourage Americans to travel to the capital.

Freud Communications will organise press trips with American DJs, who will broadcast from sites such as the London Eye.

It is hoped the campaign over September and October will also reassure tourists about the safety of travel to London. Comms director Ken Kelling said: ‘When you’re thousands of miles away your perspective (of how safe it is) is different.’

VisitLondon will team up with British Airways on special offers for flights.
