Dell Ships 2003 Microsoft Office System
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oct. 21, 2003–Dell (Nasdaq:DELL) today announced the worldwide availability of Microsoft Office System suite across its notebooks, desktops and workstations to help provide productivity improvements for customers at home or in the office.
Customers can purchase Dell(tm) Latitude(tm) and Inspiron(tm) notebook computers, OptiPlex(tm) and Dimension(tm) desktop systems and Dell Precision(tm) workstations with Microsoft Office System. Dell, which began shipping the 2003 edition on Sept. 30, also sells the software suite separately for customers who want to upgrade their systems.
Among its new features, the Microsoft Office 2003 provides users with better e-mail management, spam filtering and virus protection on Outlook, and greater ease in creating and sharing Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
