WFI secures airport
SAN DIEGO-Wireless Facilities won a contract to provide 3-D imaging software to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, one of the largest cargo airports in the world.
The company's product, Tactical Survey, is a computer-based application that provides 360degree images of any facility, including hallways and storage areas. It is designed to assist first responders in their response to emergency situations.
WFI is a provider of systems engineering, network services and technical outsourcing for wireless carriers,enterprise customers and government agencies.
The company jointly developed the product with the Tactical Survey Group of Crestline, Calif.
Nortronics to upgrade security at housing complex
NEW YORK-Systems integrator Nortronics signed a contract late last month to upgrade the access control and security system at SouthbridgeTowers,a housing complex in Manhattan's South Street Seaport district.
Nortronics will replace the buildings' intercom system with a telephone access system that will enable residents to admit a visitor to their building with a few keystrokes on a telephone keypad.
The service and maintenance of the existing CCTV system will also transfer to Nortronics. Southbridge Towers is home to 5,000 residents.
SST's Electronic Security Products Expo honors customers
NORRISTOWN, Penn.- At SST's Electronic Security Products Expo held yearly in May, the system integrator presented 15 awards to customers honoring their partnership with the company.
The expo celebrated its 10th anniversary. During the event, the company hosted an end-user symposium to discuss technology in the industry.
SST provides products and services for commercial, industrial, utility, healthcare, education and pharmaceutical clients.
