Micron Technology, Inc., Shipping 8 Gigabit and 4 Gigabit Qualified NAND Flash Memory Products; Micron Delivers High-Density NAND Flash Memory in Mobile Market

Micron Technology, Inc. (NYSE:MU), a worldwide provider of advanced memory and image sensor solutions, today announced it is shipping 8 gigabit (Gb) and 4Gb qualified NAND Flash memory products. Micron's high-density 8Gb and 4Gb NAND devices use a 3.3V power supply and are packaged in a standard 48-pin thin small outline package (TSOP) for easy integration into most existing designs.

Micron's 8Gb (MT29F8G08FABWP) and 4Gb (MT29F4G08BABWP and MT29F4G16BABWP) NAND products are currently shipping in volume production to support the increasing customer demand in the fast growing MP3, USB drive, and Flash card segments. The 8Gb NAND device is available in a 1Gb x 8 configuration and 4Gb NAND devices are available in 512Mb x 8 and 256Mb x 16 configurations.
