Spirit Airlines Activates Hurricane Buster Fare Protection

Spirit Airlines, the low fare carrier to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, activates its Hurricane Buster fare protection in light of Tropical Storm Katrina. Customers who have reservations for travel to or from Nassau, Fort Lauderdale, or Fort Myers now through Sunday may make changes to their reservations without a change fee.
Hurricane Buster Protection comes standard with all Spirit fares for travel June 15th through November 15th each year and gives customers piece of mind when booking their travel. Spirit also offers customers the opportunity to upgrade their peace of mind with Travel Guard travel insurance. Spirit has negotiated a special deal of just $12 per person for customers wanting to buy insurance to cover their non-air travel needs.
