Aug. 23–TOKYO — Yahoo Japan Corp. and Fuji Television Network Inc. said Tuesday they will offer a live TV program that will enable viewers to communicate with celebrities in real time through Internet chat.

Fuji will cooperate with Yahoo in offering the live version of its weekly “Blog Type” program for 30 minutes from 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The program’s presenter Sayaka Aoki and other members on the show will answer questions live from viewers, they said.

Before the special program begins, Aoki will also join a Yahoo chat event from 11 p.m. The event will directly switch to the live broadcast with Aoki remaining as the main personality.

Yahoo has been sponsoring “Blog Type,” which features short television dramas based on episodes provided by viewers through its Web log.
