The TNT cable network Thursday said it is adding an extra 10 minutes to the season finale of its hourlong hit summer series The Closer.
The 70-minute special airing Sept. 5 will find Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson, played by Kyra Sedgwick, charged with conduct unbecoming an officer, Zap2it.com reported.
The finale was written by series creator James Duff and directed by executive producer Michael Robin, Zap2it.com said.
TNT has already renewed The Closer, which debuted in June to just over 7 million viewer for one of the best showings ever by a scripted series on basic cable.
