LANDesk Software Raises the Bar for Systems Management With LANDesk Management Suite 8.6

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- LANDesk Software, a leading provider of integrated systems and security management solutions, today shipped LANDesk(R) Management Suite 8.6, raising the bar for effective enterprise systems management solutions. The new release offers patented technology for securely managing systems over the internet via the LANDesk(R) Management Gateway technology, as well as support for Intel Active Management Technology (AMT).

LANDesk Management Suite 8.6 is part of an unprecedented product launch from LANDesk Software that also includes upgrades to the company's security management solution LANDesk(R) Security Suite and LANDesk(R) Server Manager product lines (see related news releases).

LANDesk's Management Gateway feature enables IT administrators to reach out and manage previously unreachable systems and users over the Internet. The LANDesk Management Gateway leverages existing Internet connections and infrastructure and does not require a VPN or dedicated leased line to enable endpoint security and configuration management.
