AnchorPoint Expands Service Order and Provisioning Capabilities in Suite of TEM Software

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- AnchorPoint(TM), a leading provider of integrated Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solutions, today announced the availability of AnchorPoint 5.2, the latest version of its suite of TEM applications. Version 5.2 of the software suite adds significant functionality to the integrated applications, including expanded service order and provisioning capabilities, new budgeting tools, improved user control over electronic invoice loading, and simplified user interface tools.
AnchorPoint 5.2's integrated Invoice, Asset and Usage Management modules utilize the AnchorPoint Communications Intelligence database and analytic and reporting tools to allow companies to re-allocate or eliminate costs, improve operating efficiencies, and increase ROI from their telecom/IT investments. The AnchorPoint application suite supports the full TEM lifecycle -- ordering, managing, auditing, contracting, allocating and evaluating communications services.
With the expansion of service order and provisioning capabilities, AnchorPoint 5.2 now supports all Move, Add, Change and Delete requests for all communications services and provides automatic updates of those changes to the product's centralized Communications Intelligence database. The new functionality also provides users with a host of service order and provisioning management features, including:
* Extending Web-based service request forms to the desktop of end users or integrating them with existing Help Desk systems; * Robust project management tools to link service orders to large projects such as facilities openings or closes; * Assignment of tasks for each service order to both internal resources and external vendor contacts and automatic electronic notification of those tasks, often in the form of an email or a Microsoft Outlook task; * Tracking of install dates and current status of services and equipment to ensure accurate auditing for payment.

Advanced budgeting tools have been added to AnchorPoint 5.2 that allow users to set up periodic budgets or commitments (MARCs) and measure actual performance against planned budgets in order forecast overspending or shortfalls. The new budgeting and forecasting tools in AnchorPoint 5.2 can be tightly integrated with AnchorPoint Business Analytics to provide real-time dashboard access to graphical trend analysis through scorecards and other key performance indicators (KPI) such as Spend vs. Budget, Expenses by Type, Expenses by Site, and Asset Utilization.
Additional new features in AnchorPoint 5.2 include support for user mapping of electronic invoice data to facilitate validated loading of generic invoice transactions. A Quick Tools bar has also been built into the user interface, providing single-click access from the AnchorPoint 5.2 desktop to commonly used tools.
