-- New Stripped Line Up Will Showcase A-List Talent Including Staind, Switchfoot, Melissa Etheridge and Big & Rich
Clear Channel Online Music & Radio announced that hip-hop recording artist and producer Kanye West will get Stripped today as part of the breakthrough online video series. Also announced today are upcoming signature in-studio performances from platinum recording artists Staind, Switchfoot, Melissa Etheridge and Big & Rich.
West's emotionally charged performances of "Diamonds from Sierra Leone" and "Gold Digger" from his highly anticipated follow-up, "Late Registration," released today, as well as hits like "Jesus Walks," and "All Falls Down" are available now on 150 Clear Channel Radio station Web sites across the country. West also treats fans to an incredible freestyle backed by beats he created on the spot during his Stripped session.
"Our Stripped series has taken off even faster than we had originally anticipated, said Evan Harrison, executive vice president of Clear Channel Radio and head of the company's Online Music & Radio unit. "Artists have really embraced the concept, and from a fan's perspective, I can't imagine a more unique and intimate experience than witnessing a hip hop genius like Kanye West create a track from scratch and then freestyle over it!"
Since its launch in May 2005, Clear Channel Radio's Stripped series has attracted some of today's most exciting and creative musical artists including Rob Thomas, Gavin DeGraw, Brad Paisley, John Legend and Jesse McCartney. National radio programs such as Ryan Seacrest's "AT 40" are also getting behind Stripped, expanding awareness to millions of music fans and increasing exposure for these artists.
