MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Remote Backup Systems, Inc., developer and distributor of RBackup(TM) online backup software on the web at http://remote-backup.com/, today announced that it has become a sponsor of the American Alliance of Service Providers (AASP), which represents over 700 Internet Service Providers across the country."
The partnership with AASP is the first step in an aggressive and long term marketing plan aimed directly at the ISP market," commented Tommy Gardner, Remote Backup Systems' Director of Sales and Marketing. "While we count dozens of ISPs as licensees today," Gardner continued, "RBS now offers incentives for Internet service providers of all sizes, providing quick time- to-market with a custom-branded online backup service, while minimizing the organization's overhead."
For Internet Service Providers, online data backup services present a win/win situation. ISPs can usually leverage existing bandwidth and hardware resources to offer remote backup services, helping to retain their existing subscriber base, and as an attractant for new accounts.
"As the largest independent ISP Association in North America, AASP's goal is to support the independent ISP, to unite as many ISPs as possible and leverage that strength to the benefit of the membership," commented Corrina Wolfe, SVP of Design and Development with AASP. "The partnership with Remote Backup Systems, Inc. is a prime example of our continued effort to provide timely and cost-effective solutions to our membership," added Wolfe.
