NEC to Strengthen System Reconfiguration Service

Tokyo, Aug. 31 (Jiji Press)--NEC Corp. said Wednesday it will strengthen its service in the reconfiguration of information systems for corporate clients.
The company will start providing software that automatically gathers the information required for system reconstruction.
The software is expected to cut the time needed to plan for system reconfiguration by up to 50 pct, and allow clients to optimize the performance of their information systems and reduce running costs.
NEC will also set up a team of 235 experts within its corporate group to assist clients in system reconstruction.
NEC hopes to generate 300 billion yen in sales from the service in three years.END
