China Southern Inks New FFP Partnership With China Airlines

China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH) (HKSE:1055) (SHA:600029) -- www.cs-air.com/en -- with the largest and most technically advanced airline fleet in The People's Republic of China has made a historic FFP announcement with a new partnership with Taipei-based China Airlines.
Under the new agreement -- which is slated to start today -- the largest airline of The People's Republic of China and China Airlines will allow each of their respective carriers to offer new travel benefits to their frequent customers.
"This is a historic opportunity for the frequent flyers of China Southern Airlines to experience the route network of China Airlines," said Mr. Liu Shaoyong, Chairman, China Southern Airlines. "We hope that this small step will become a mighty bridge of friendship between the frequent flyers of both airlines."
Members of China Southern's Sky Pearl Club frequent flyer program will be able to earn and redeem miles on China Airlines-operated flights that are marketed with China Airlines' "CI" code.
At the same time, members of China Airlines' Dynasty Flyer frequent flyer program will be able to earn and redeem miles on flights operated by China Southern and marketed with the airline's two letter "CZ" code.
