Nearly six years ago, CSIS introduced a uniquely innovative doctoral program - the Doctor of Professional Studies (DPS) in Computing. Since that time, 32 individuals have earned doctorates and have gone on to make impressive contributions in the corporate and academic sectors. The DPS, a three-year, 48-credit program, provides the IT professional the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree while continuing to work full time. Classes are held one weekend per month at the Graduate Center in White Plains and are supplemented by ongoing interaction online.
For additional information about this program visit the DPS Web site through http://csis.pace.edu, e-mail your inquiry to csisdps@pace.edu or call (914) 422-4447.
In addition, the School provides a wide range of noncredit offerings through the Pace Computer Learning Center (PCLC). The center offers numerous workshops in project management, PC applications, Web development, Web services, operating systems and software/application development.
Customized classes, training programs and consulting are available to corporate clients. Also, the Technology Center for Education and Community Development provides professional development for teachers and nonprofit agencies and is the recent recipient of a $25,000 grant, along with the Westchester Not-for- Profit Technology Council, from Verizon to assist the more than 400 nonprofits in Westchester County with their need for current and timely technology information.
