Next Generation National Conservative Talk Radio Programs Appealing to Younger Audiences Emerge As 'Liddy & Hill' Is Readied for Launch By WYD Media Management

Posted on: Monday, 5 September 2005, 18:00 CDT

NEW YORK, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Conservative talk radio programs rescued radio a decade ago and now new shows appealing to younger "right leaning" audiences are about to be introduced by Ron Hartenbaum's WYD Media Management, LLC. The company said today it will bring the "LIDDY & HILL" program, the first in a series of next generation conservative programs, to audiences nationwide in association with the Jones Radio Networks.

"LIDDY & HILL" have been most recently heard on KFYI, Phoenix, where their program captured audience attention and market leading ratings. The duo offer a fun, fast-paced, and always irreverent look at the hot issues of the day. Fans have called their show "Comedy Central meets local talk radio."

The "LIDDY & HILL" radio program will air live during afternoon drive time in the Pacific time zone, 3-6/PT. The program is being syndicated by Jones Radio Networks and advertising sales are managed by Jones MediaAmerica

Liddy is an active GOP loyalist, former Marine Corps officer and the son of political figure and broadcaster G. Gordon Liddy. For five years Tom has entertained and informed Phoenix talk radio audiences with a lightning wit and biting satire on KFYI. Austin Hill is a 24 year radio veteran, having held on-air positions at top ranked radio stations throughout the western U.S.

"I am especially pleased to introduce another compelling program that is entertaining, fun and informative -- exactly the kind of radio program that wins local ratings and produces maximum revenue and profits," Mr. Hartenbaum said. "In the current universe of nearly 2,000 conservative format radio stations, we believe the fresh and irreverent sound that 'LIDDY & HILL' offers will be an important factor as stations begin to transition to conservative programs with a more youthful appeal."

Amy Bolton, Vice President/General Manager News & Talk, Jones Radio Networks, said: "'Liddy and Hill' will give conservative talk radio just what it needs...youth, energy and intelligence. Tom Liddy and Austin Hill will attract the coveted 25-54 demographic to the format with their unique and fun spin on the issues of today's world. At Jones Talk Radio Networks, we are proud to be a part of this talk format innovation. After pioneering Progressive Talk, we have set our sights on the next generation of Talk Radio: The Young Conservative."
