Callidus Software Names Shanker Trivedi As Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Callidus Software Inc. , a leader in Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM), today announced the appointment of Shanker Trivedi as its new vice president, chief marketing officer, as of September 1, 2005. Trivedi brings with him more than 20 years of in-depth, global sales and marketing expertise, most recently from Sun Microsystems' Global Sales Organization as its vice president, datacenter solutions. Trivedi replaces Bert Rankin who announced his intention to leave the Company to pursue other interests effective October 6, 2005.

Prior to Trivedi's work at Sun as its vice president, datacenter solutions from 2003 to 2005, he was vice president, marketing of the Global Sales Organization of Sun beginning in 2001. From 1998 to 2001, he led Sun's business in the United Kingdom and Ireland as vice president and managing director. He was Sun's U.K. business partner sales director from 1997 to 1998, and U.K. marketing director from 1996 to 1997. Prior to joining Sun, Trivedi worked as the marketing director for IBM Ltd. from 1995 to 1996 and in a variety of marketing and business management roles at ICL (Fujitsu) Ltd. UK from 1988 to 1995. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, and an MS from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
