GloBul Launches Messaging Service in Bulgaria with Nokia's Complete MMS Solution

HELSINKI, Finland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 2003--Bulgarian mobile operator GloBul has launched a mobile multimedia messaging service using Nokia's leading MMS solution. The service allows GloBul's subscribers to send messages combining text, images, graphics and sound in a single rich message directly to other MMS terminals, e-mail addresses, personal album in GloBul's web site, or even non-MMS mobile phones.
Nokia has delivered to GloBul its complete MMS solution, including the Nokia Multimedia Messaging Service Center, Nokia WAP Gateway, Nokia Application Gateway, and Nokia Profile Server. Nokia will also provide implementation and maintenance and system integration for the whole system solution.

MMS is an open industry standard designed to work across various mobile networks, including GSM, GPRS, CDMA and WCDMA networks. Operators across the globe are enabling MMS services for their mobile customers while mobile handset manufacturers are delivering MMS-capable mobile devices to consumers.
GloBul started commercial operations in Bulgaria in September 17th 2001 and is 100% owned by the OTE group and under COSMOTE's management, the leading mobile operator in Greece.
