Anue Systems Ships OC-192 SONET ``Path Layer'' Network Emulator; Path Delay and Impairment Emulator Tests Converged Ethernet & SONET/SDH Solutions

Anue Systems, the leader in emulating Next Generation SONET and Ethernet networks, today announces availability of its newest Network Emulator, the HSPD192. This Emulator handles 9.953 Gbps SONET OC-192 and SDH STM-64 data rates with the ability to impair and delay each individual channel, or path, independently.
Anue Network Emulators are used to validate converged Ethernet and SONET/SDH carrier grade network services, network equipment and applications in a lab test environment. Next generation Ethernet over SONET aggregation solutions using virtual concatenation (VC), link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS) and generic framing procedure (GFP) require robust testing of the effects of dynamic path level delays, bit errors, and other network faults. Anue Network Emulators allow this type of testing easily and accurately before new network equipment and new network services are deployed.
"Our 10 Gigabit Path Delay Emulator is already being used by one of the world's largest network equipment manufacturers," stated Hemi Thaker, CEO of Anue Systems. "They are testing their newest SONET MSPP that enables carrier class Ethernet services to be delivered at the OC192 optical transport rate. Of particular value in this situation is Anue's unique ability to simulate real world network effects like varying path layer delay, precise error injection, and programmable impairment modeling. We are thrilled to see the positive impact this testing is having on our customer's product development; they are now able to ensure their product can withstand multiple path level network delays and impairments."
While adding OC-192 Path Delay to their portfolio of multi-protocol Network Emulators, Anue is also including new enhancements for advanced SONET/SDH and Ethernet testing. Such enhancements include advanced traffic monitoring and "H byte" processing.
