Independence Air Ranks 2nd Among 16 U.S. Airlines in Market Metrix Hospitality Index of Airline Customer Satisfaction

DULLES, Va., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Low-fare airline Independence Air is proud to announce it has been ranked number two for customer satisfaction among 16 domestic airlines in the nationally- recognized Market Metrix Hospitality Index. The results were compiled during the second quarter of 2005. This is the first time Independence Air was listed in the Airline Customer Satisfaction survey.

According to San Rafael, CA-based Market Metrix, LLC, their Hospitality Index (MMHI) is the largest and most in-depth measure of airline, hotel and car rental performance available today and has become a touchstone for the hospitality and travel industry. It is based on 35,000 interviews conducted each quarter. In addition to its airline survey, the company also collects customer satisfaction data on eight car rental agencies, and 110 hotel brands.
