Catalyst Semiconductor Announces Appointment of VP Marketing for Its Analog/Mixed Signal Products

Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc. (Nasdaq:CATS), today announces the appointment of Scott M. Brown as the company's Vice President of Marketing for Analog/Mixed-Signal Products. Mr. Brown is a veteran of 16 years in the semiconductor industry, most recently as the Director of RF & Mixed-Signal products at Micrel, Inc.

Mr. Brown has extensive experience in all elements of semiconductor marketing. He is deeply familiar with the analog and mixed-signal semiconductor markets, having direct experience of voltage references, voltage supervisors, display drivers, temperature sensors, USB power switches, PCMCIA power switches and many power management functions including LDO (low drop-out) linear regulators and switching DC/DC converters. He brings a considerable amount of international experience; in addition to holding various world-wide marketing and management roles, he has lived and worked in Germany and the United Kingdom, as well as the United States.
Mr. Brown received his BSEE from Brunel University in 1989. He started his career as product marketing engineer at National Semiconductor and over the years has expanded his responsibilities to include management of applications functions and IC design in addition to marketing.
