Fonix Telecom Delivers Fonix Fone(TM) to Residential and Business Customers

Posted on: Thursday, 8 September 2005, 09:00 CDT

Fonix Telecom, a subsidiary of Fonix Corp. (OTCBB: FNIX), an integrated telecommunications provider, is delivering an alternative to traditional phone service with its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) product line Fonix Fone(TM).

"Fonix Fone enables me to stay in control of my expanding business," said Becky Snider of S&S Team Sports, a Fonix Telecom business customer. "Fonix Telecom's service is so flexible, and as a small business owner cost and scalability are an important factor in determining what telecom solutions meet my business needs."

"We are pleased to be able to offer a communication service that is flexible enough to be tailored to what our customers need," said Dale Smith, senior vice president and general manager, Fonix Telecom. "Fonix Fone VoIP service is just one of our new initiatives to grow the broadband side of our business, and positions us as a facilities-based provider rather than a reseller."

Fonix Fone provides residential and business customers with a low-cost voice alternative to traditional telephony services. The company's service area encompasses more than 2,000 rate centers across the United States. The service is sold through direct sales representatives in select cities, at www.fonixtelecom.com or through the Fonix Telecom Call Center.

Fonix Fone offers enhanced calling features, certain advanced applications and superior network operations compared to traditional services, as calls are placed over a data network across the VoIP infrastructure. Using its own integrated soft switch platform, Fonix Telecom enters the new generation of phone service with residential and business calling plans:
