CallWave Announces Software Distribution Agreement With Market Hardware Inc.

Posted on: Monday, 12 September 2005, 09:00 CDT

Market Hardware to Offer CallWave's VoIP-Based Mobile Call Management Software to Its Small Business Customers -- Providing Improved Call Control and Savings on Telecommunications

CallWave, Inc. (Nasdaq:CALL), a leading provider of VoIP enhanced services, today announced a distribution agreement with Market Hardware Inc. to deliver CallWave's services to Market Hardware's small business customers. Market Hardware is a leading provider of websites and related services for small businesses.

The partnership further advances CallWave's mobile distribution strategy announced earlier this year, and strengthens the company's lead in delivering value-added, VoIP-powered mobile services to key market segments.

CallWave's mobile software allows Market Hardware's small business customers to preview incoming calls "live" on their current cell phones while in the field, allowing them to take only those calls that matter and none that don't. Users can also instantly transfer those calls to a more convenient -- and less costly -- landline phone when in the office or at home. No additional hardware is required.

Also included is CallWave's desktop software, which adds further functionality and flexibility to the small business, turning any Internet-connected PC into a virtual switchboard. Customers can use their desktop software to hear messages in real time and seamlessly transfer incoming calls to a cell phone or landline, without interruption to the caller. It also serves as powerful desktop voicemail, offering playback, storage and email of voice messages -- features previously available only to large enterprises.

"CallWave's innovative products can help the small businesses and independent contractors that Market Hardware serves get all of their important calls and to take those calls on the most convenient device. For me, CallWave's features have been great productivity tools, letting me differentiate the most vital calls from the ones that can wait," stated Market Hardware CEO Brian Kraff. "Perhaps more importantly, CallWave helps our customers compete by enabling them to project a more professional image to their customers."

Small businesses, particularly those run by sole proprietors, constitute an increasingly large market in the United States. There were more than 17.6 million sole proprietor businesses in the U.S. in 2002, based on the most recent data available.(1)

"CallWave's features would be ideal for anyone who has to spend a great deal of their day in the field managing multiple tasks," said Nick Gromicko, founder of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. "Market Hardware has consistently made great products available to our members, with solutions that are truly useful to the small businessperson."

Market Hardware will promote CallWave's services through its industry association partnerships, including its endorsed direct mail and association membership advertising programs.

"We look for partners with strong distribution channels," said Josh Fraser, vice president, business development at CallWave. "Market Hardware has a successful approach with business associations that serve small, local businesses. It's a very good match."
