Great Lakes Electronic Distributing Inc. (GLED), a provider of turnkey IT solutions for independent software vendors, education, government, major end users and resellers, announced today at ASIS International 2005 that it has partnered with ObjectVideo(R), the leader in intelligent video, to create the Certera (TM) Intelligent Appliance. The appliance offers versatility to customers who wish to deploy intelligent video capability easily and effectively in a wide variety of situations, from current customer installations to new product introductions.
The Certera Intelligent Appliance is a comprehensive intelligent video server that provides video streaming and ObjectVideo OnBoard(TM) intelligent video analytics capabilities in a compact, easy-to-maintain hardware device. The appliance can be deployed as a desktop device, as multiple units in rack-mounted form, or as a bundled, multi-channel server unit.
"The Certera Intelligent Appliance is a powerful combination of hardware and software that enables security users to quickly and easily take full advantage of the latest technology advances in the field of intelligent video," said Jack Boyczuk, President, GLED.
For system integrators, the Certera (TM) Intelligent Appliance is an ideal platform for solutions that require smaller form factors, easier maintenance, portable applications, and/or very quick turnaround. For original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the Certera (TM) Intelligent Appliance represents a pre-packaged intelligent video hardware solution that can be quickly introduced into their product line.
"GLED specializes in turnkey solutions that provide the most value for their customers. GLED chose to partner with us not only for the sophistication of ObjectVideo's technology, but also its ease of integration and operation," said Alan Lipton, Chief Technology Officer, ObjectVideo.
The Certera (TM) Intelligent Appliance also utilizes the DM642 digital signal processor from Texas Instruments and the Raven board and related software from Mango DSP.
