AppSense Ltd., a specialist in system performance and security solutions, today announced exceptional results for its 2004-2005 financial year with impressive growth in all areas of the business. Revenue has increased by 50 percent, the company has seen a profit uplift of 60 percent and cash reserves are three times larger than the previous financial year.
This performance has been fuelled by rapid acquisition of new customers, who are turning to AppSense Management Suite solutions to help them secure their IT assets, reduce IT management costs, automate complex processes and improve system performance. The company's 400 new global customers include such notables as Clifford Chance, Deutsche Bank, The Mechanics Bank, NTL and Polo Ralph Lauren.
Strategic partnerships have also contributed to the company's success and alliances with Cap Gemini, CSC and EDS have taken AppSense into key accounts throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia Pacific. Technology alliances have also been in full swing and in March 2005 an agreement was announced for HP to OEM AppSense Application Manager as part of its HP ProtectTools suite. In addition, AppSense joined the Advanced IBM Business Partner Program and the Blade Center Alliance, became IBM ServerProven and joined the VMware Technology Software Alliance program.
2005 saw the launch of several new products including AppSense Management Suite, AppSense Desktop Security Manager and Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 management pack.
AppSense has expanded organically to support this growth with the number of employees growing by 70%. Specific investment was made in technical research, facilities and management development.
"As a privately owned, fast growing and profitable business, we've built on previous years' success to really establish AppSense as a proven security and performance player," commented Charles Sharland, CEO. "Revenues and investment surged in the past year in all areas of the business and we expect a similar success level in the coming 12 months."
