Showtime's Line- Up Dominate Emmy Award Nominations!

The 57th Annual Emmy Awards Show on the 18th September is television's biggest night of the Showbiz calendar and this year E! will be reporting LIVE from the red carpet exclusively on Showtime to make sure you don't miss a second of TV's version of the Oscars.The nominations are out and among the 434 nominees in 88 categories Showtime were thrilled to be screening the top programme contenders on the Showtime network as well as many of the others.Hit series Desperate Housewives has 15 nods, including Best Comedy Series, the show will go up against other Showtime favorites including Will and Grace - which also got 15 nominations - along with Everybody Loves Raymond (13 awards), Scrubs, and last year's winner, Arrested Development.For the best actress in a comedy category Desperate Housewives stars Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman will go head to head for the best actress award. Other nominees in the best actress category were Patricia Heaton of Everybody Loves Raymond and Jane Kaczmarek of Malcolm in the Middle.In the best drama category, the hottest candidates all appear on the Showtime network. Deadwood competes against Kiefer Sutherlands 24 both up for 11 awards and Lost (12 awards), a new drama about air crash survivors stranded on a mysterious island which comes to Showtime later in the year. Deadwood's Ian McShane and 24's Kiefer Sutherland will also go head to head in the Best Actor in a Drama category.Hilarious Showtime regulars The Simpsons and Sponge Bob Square Pants are both nominated in the Outstanding Animated Program category, Survivor: Palau has been awarded 7 nominations including Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Reality Program. The latest Survivor, which is still under wraps, hits the Showtime screen in September.Oscar-winner Quentin Tarantino has been nominated for Outstanding Direction for his season finale episode Grave Danger of the drama series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (4 awards) which will be the season finale of the latest CSI series showing later this year on Showtime.The kings of Showtime's late night David Letterman who has bagged 7 nominations and Conan O'Brian who is counting on his 3 nominations coming in battle it out in the Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series.Catch the entire hottest award winning shows on Showtime every night of the week. Sept. 2005 is not quite what I'm looking for... :) I just want to know if Deadwood is gonna be back on - where'd it go, and what the heck happened?? I've seen Ian McShae, Jane, and Mr. What's-his-name that offered to marry the widow - on various shows - so thought maybe they were out of their contracts for Deadwood. ?
