International Electronics, Inc., (IEI) (OTC:IEIB.OB) demonstrated its eMerge 50 and eMerge 440 Browser Managed Security Platforms at the 2005 ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits (booth 135), a security industry trade show in Orlando, Florida. The eMerge 50 and 440, along with the full featured eMerge 5000, are integrated security management systems with an easy-to-use web browser interface, Linux operating system, MySQL database and web server all embedded within the product, which make them easy to use, easy to install, and easy to maintain and upgrade.
The eMerge 50 brings the benefits of a network architecture to basic access control applications. The expanded eMerge 440 handles a broad range of security functions such as real time monitoring, elevator control, video monitoring and photo ID in an integrated package.
"With its embedded software, a unique attribute of our eMerge Browser Managed Security Platform ", said John Waldstein, CEO of International Electronics, "eMerge is both easier to use and more powerful than other systems. It's a network appliance that has both the operating system and the application software embedded in the system controller. With its ability to monitor and control multiple facilities from a web browser anywhere in the world, eMerge changes the way security managers and dealers will manage, support and control their physical assets. We are very excited about the response to the eMerge product line."
Major advantages of the eMerge platform include:
-- A user interface securely accessed with a standard web browser under password control;
-- Proven Red Hat Linux operating system embedded in the Intel processor, ensuring a stable platform;
-- Integrated management of access control and video monitoring from anywhere the Internet is available;
-- Immediate system-wide changes implemented through Threat Level management;
-- Communications over existing networks or the Internet using easy to obtain, inexpensive equipment commonly found in most offices;
-- Authenticated and encrypted information flow to protect system operation even over public network segments;
-- Alerts delivered via email and even cell phones;
-- Intuitive dynamic floorplans for easy monitoring and control over complex facilities;
-- Remote update of software to every level of the system, keeping all components up-to-date.
