eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of access control, subscription management and commerce software, today announced that Reuters, the global information company, has deployed RightCommerce, eMeta's digital commerce and billing solution, to create new subscription products on its Web site, Reuters.com.
"Since 1851, Reuters has offered leading-edge news and information on a global scale," said Joanne Casley, E-Commerce Product Manager, Reuters. "Today we are focusing on expanding our online services to our consumer audience, and growing our digital commerce revenue stream. RightCommerce has helped us put in place a number of new subscription services, making it easier for our customers to quickly and easily get the information they need online."
RightCommerce technology is powering the delivery of a number of Reuters premium subscription services including investing newsletters such as the new Reuters Value Review Newsletter and analyst research reports. eMeta supported Reuters in integrating RightCommerce with legacy systems and centralizing existing customer and content data. Maximizing the flexibility of RightCommerce, Reuters is also offering complex discounts and coupons in marketing promotions to online customers, as well as free trials to new premium offerings.
"We are thrilled that such an esteemed international information provider has chosen eMeta to support its digital commerce initiatives as it expands into new markets," said eMeta CEO and Founder Jonathan Lewin. "RightCommerce is a flexible, scalable solution that will help Reuters grow."
RightCommerce, the sales and billing product within eMeta's flagship solution, the eRights Suite, allows companies like Reuters to develop granular product offerings and implement diverse revenue models, such as on-demand and subscriptions. The eRights Suite, available both as an installed or hosted (ASP) solution, allows organizations to effectively control and commercialize digital goods and services, like software, content and rich media, while collecting valuable customer data and offering customer care.
