Passenger plane goes off runway at Rotterdam airport
BRUSSELS, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- One person was injured on Monday morning when a small passenger plane veered from the take-off runway at Rotterdam Airport.
According to reports from Dutch news agency ANP, the Metroliner plane with 17 passengers on board ended up on its belly by the side of the runway.
A police spokesperson was quoted by ANP as saying that the plane was to fly to Birmingham. It appears a fire started in one of the engines.
The crew was unhurt, ANP reported.
