Clearswift MIMEsweeper for Web Version 5.1 Helps Organizations Secure Incoming Internet Data and Outbound Web Communications

Advanced Web content security solution enhanced with new reporting features, and updated URL filter database and content; Helps organizations meet regulatory compliance standards

With MIMEsweeper for Web, every Web page and downloaded document, as well as outbound Web communication, is analyzed using a five-stage process that mirrors the process for Clearswift's award-winning MIMEsweeper for SMTP product. The process, which includes policy identification, URL filtering, content disassembly, content analysis, and classification and action, helps organizations by enhancing regulatory compliance, reducing online threats, loss of IT resources and corporate risks, and increasing employee productivity.

For version 5.1, Clearswift focused on enhancing reports and reporting features to leverage the real-time category information returned by the updated URL filter. The new reports allow organizations to determine browsing trends in order to quickly and easily establish the types of sites most frequently visited by employees. The new "User Access for Internet" report, for example, allows organizations to identify individuals that visited particular Web sites during a specific time. Additional enhanced reports include real-time statistics, personal Internet usage and detailed auditing. Clearswift also enhanced MIMEsweeper for Web's URL database with categories and content unique to Clearswift. The URL database now features 40 comprehensive categories, automatic daily updates, and content that covers 8.5 million Web sites in more than 50 languages.
