LaFace Recording Artist Ciara and J Records Recording Artist Mario Achieve Major Ringer Download Milestones On Sprint

Today, Sprint (NYSE:S) announced that two SONY BMG artists, LaFace recording artist Ciara and J Records recording artist Mario, together have accounted for more than 1.5 million downloads of Music Tones, ringers created from actual songs, to Sprint PCS Vision(SM) Phones. Ciara's fans downloaded more than 1 million Music Tones from her Goodies album, giving her Platinum status on the Nationwide Sprint PCS Network, including popular Music Tones "Goodies" and "Oh." Mario achieved Gold status with more than 500,000 downloads of Music Tones from his album Turning Point, including "Let Me Love You" and "18."

"Sprint customers around the country are downloading millions of Music Tones, personalizing their wireless phone and demonstrating their unique personalities," said Jeff Hallock, vice president of consumer product marketing and strategy for Sprint. "Ciara and Mario are the latest artists to go Platinum and Gold, which demonstrates the growing popularity of music and personalization of mobile phones among Sprint customers."

Sprint was the first U.S. carrier to offer ringers that sound like actual songs with the introduction of Music Tones. Today, Sprint offers thousands of ringers, including Music Tones; Video Ringers; and polyphonic, animated and voice ringers. Sprint continues its leadership in mobile music with four Platinum and nine Gold artists selling more than 1 million and 500,000 Music Tones respectively. Ciara joins Beyonce, Usher and 50 Cent in achieving Platinum status on Sprint, and Mario joins Lil Flip, Petey Pablo, Destiny's Child, T.I., Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, The Game and Mike Jones in achieving Gold status on Sprint.

Sprint PCS Vision customers can purchase and download ringers directly from their Sprint PCS Vision Phones or at www.sprint.com. To access ringers on the phone, select Menu/ Downloads/ Ringers/ then Get New to browse the titles available from Sprint. Music Tones are $2.50 to download.
