BEDMINSTER, N.J., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T announced today that it has won a three-year, $5 million contract to provide Lincoln Education Services Corp. an integrated data and voice networking solution supporting its 23 campuses across the United States. New Jersey-based Lincoln Education Services Corp. is a leading provider of career education and training, graduating over 8000 students for technical positions in a variety of fields.
The AT&T solution is based on a dedicated site-to-site Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) that enables Lincoln Education Services Corp. to deploy Voice over IP (VoIP) technology and integrate all voice and data services on one network, thereby more economically and efficiently managing telecommunications and information services.
AT&T also will provide Lincoln Educational Services Corp. with local and long-distance telephone service.
"AT&T is providing a solution that handles our traffic on a single network, while reducing our dependence on multiple local exchange carriers," said David Carney, Chairman & CEO of Lincoln Educational Services Corp. "The account team gave me an education on the value AT&T and its comprehensive solution provides, and I was very comfortable placing my business -- and trust -- in their capable hands."
AT&T will network Lincoln Educational Services' 23 campuses via a dedicated high-speed connection that enhances reliability and redundancy. To provide additional security and assure business continuity under virtually any circumstances, Lincoln Educational Services Corp. will migrate its data center into AT&T's International Data Center (IDC) in Secaucus, N.J. AT&T's IDC will now host all of Lincoln's mission-critical educational and business applications.
The AT&T solution also supports Lincoln Education Services' Corp. business continuity plan, helping to ensure access to critical networking applications in the event of a disaster.
AT&T will integrate capabilities designed by Office Solutions Inc., an AT&T Alliance Channel agent that will intelligently distribute voice, data and video communications among the Lincoln Educational Services Corp. campuses. AT&T Alliance Channel agents complement and enhance AT&T's capabilities with specialized skills in network and design and deployment, Web site design and development, communications equipment expertise and management, application integration and customer training.
"The breadth of the Lincoln Education Services solution demonstrates the comprehensiveness of AT&T's portfolio," said Phil Towle, AT&T sales center vice president for New Jersey. "By bringing together the right team of experts from both AT&T and alliance partner Office Solutions Inc., we were able to provide Lincoln Educational Services with a total solution that will allow smarter voice and data traffic management and ultimately growth of their organization."
