Syniverse Technologies Expands GSM Operator Base With SmarTone and Peoples of Hong Kong

Syniverse signed a GSM SS7 Transport and Conversion contract with China Resources Peoples Telephone Company of Hong Kong and SmarTone-Vodaphone Mobile Communications of Hong Kong. This type of signaling transport, also known as SCCP gateway services, enables roaming on GSM networks worldwide and provides the network backbone for a variety of advanced intelligent network services and features such as call delivery, fraud control, local number portability and caller ID.
The company also renewed its contract for GSM SS7 Transport and Conversion contract with Vodafone KK in Tokyo.
