National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Recognizes Clear Channel Radio With Five Marconi Radio Awards; Clear Channel Personalities Take Top Honors

Clear Channel Radio today announced that four of its radio personalities and a popular rock station received 2005 National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Awards, which recognize the industry's outstanding talent and stations in 22 categories.
Clear Channel station WFBQ/Indianapolis was named Rock Station of the Year while Clear Channel Radio took home four of five trophies in the Personality of the Year category. Winners included:
-- Rush Limbaugh, Premiere Radio Networks, Network Syndicated Personality of the Year
-- Bill Handel, KFI-AM/Los Angeles, Major Market Personality of the Year
-- Lanigan & Malone, WMJI-FM/Cleveland, Large Market Personality of the Year
-- Don Weeks, WGY-AM/Albany, Medium Market Personality of the Year

Winners were announced at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner & Show on September 22, 2005 in conjunction with The NAB Radio Show in Philadelphia. An independent task force chose the finalists and sent ballots to members of the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy who voted for the winners in all categories.
