Qpass Launches Service Enabler Partner Program To Accelerate Digital Commerce Revenue; Initiative Brings Together Industry Innovators to Help Meet Rising Demand for Premium Services

Posted on: Tuesday, 27 September 2005, 09:00 CDT

Qpass, whose software provides the fastest path to profit in digital media commerce, today announced its Qpass Service & Technology Enabler Program (Q-STEP), a comprehensive resource for Qpass' strategic partner companies to leverage Qpass' expertise and technology to accelerate the deployment of new mobile services for network operators, to drive both on and off-portal revenue. The program currently includes more than 40 companies worldwide.

By partnering with Qpass, Q-STEP member companies leverage Qpass' experience in delivering and managing infrastructure, technologies and services for comprehensive management of mobile data services. Members can also access resources uniquely available from Qpass that enable them to better develop, market, and distribute applications and content such as:

-- IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) services

-- Mobile video

-- Location-based services

-- Mobile VoIP and push-to-talk

-- Speech recognition

-- Enterprise applications

-- Peer-to-peer applications

-- Mobile search and discovery

-- And more

Qpass has instituted a rigorous membership criterion for Q-STEP, which ensures that participants have undergone technical diligence and requires that their solutions have technological leadership and have been successfully deployed with network operators.

To rapidly deploy next-generation mobile services, network operators require flexible definition of offers and promotions; rapid service provisioning and access control; efficient payment and settlement, sophisticated real-time financial reporting; and automated self-care tools. The Qpass software platform provides these capabilities to ensure that new services are launched quickly and that operators and technology providers achieve rapid return on investment.

"Q-STEP was developed so that Qpass could more effectively deliver new revenue opportunities to our operator customers through innovative new services. The program ensures that tightly integrated and innovative new services can be quickly launched to create new revenue opportunities for our customers and partners," said Eric Harber, Vice President at Qpass. "By utilizing complementary products and services from the trusted members in Q-STEP, our customers can be better suited to launch differentiated services and meet new market opportunities."
