Data on Advertising Expenses First Half 2005

Al-Anwar newspaper quoted data on advertising expenditures in the Gulf States and Lebanon during the first half of 2005 compared to the first half of 2004 as published in early September 2005 by President of the Saachi & Saachi Gulf Advertising Company, Khamis al- Muqla
. Advertising expenditures grew 87.17% during the first half of 2005 compared to the first half of 2004, reaching $2.1 billion. Advertising expenditures in Lebanon were reduced to $40.5 million compared to $233.5 million during the first half of 2004. 39% of advertising was in the morning hours in 2005, compared to 50% in 2004. The highest expenditures for morning ads were in Qatar in 2005, $62.5 million, compared to $31.88 million in 2004.Source: Info-Prod Research (Middle East)
